Cannes Lions app
Had the amazing opportunity to collaborate on the UX Design for an AR app that lived inside the 2018 official Cannes Lions app.
A fun and different experience for the users that visit the Lions festival venues.
The Cannes Lions wanted to do something immersive and very different for the event, using 3D and augmented reality.

The festival consisted of a number of venues, all of them in the same area, with numerous things happening during the event.
Along with some unique augmented reality experiences like :
trying virtual accessories on at a fashion museum, immersive portals, AR photo filters, mini games, or the experience of being inside a yacht.
Festival goers would be able to have access to all the schedule of events in the app, and be able to play around the area guided by a custom pathfinder and, at some point, a mascot that accompanied the journey.
I worked on UX/wireframing, taking into consideration the technical boundaries by having day-to-day communication with a director in London and the Unity Augmented Reality team that was part of Europe and part of the US.
It was a fun project and a challenge, where with iterations we figured out how to translate all of the offerings into a seamless and fun experience on a mobile phone.
We were also kicking all kinds of technical scenarios that could impact the user experience, such as low-tech device compatibility and weak internet signal devices, by mapping those possibilities into the experience.
Didn’t go to France 🇫🇷 but the experience of collaborating with an agency like Unit9 was great.
